We aim to provide a service where parents are free to concentrate on the day at hand, secure in the knowledge that the emotional and developmental needs of their children are being met.
Our staffs are selected for their knowledge of early childhood, their expertise in providing appropriate educational programmes, their compassion for children and their philosophy of education and early childhood development. We encourage professional development so our teachers can keep up-to-date with what is happening in the early childhood sector.
Our teachers participate in a six monthly appraisal programme where management and teachers can reflect on strengths, weaknesses and goals and plan for the next six months.

Kia Ora! I`m Samantha a full time student, working at Riverhills Early Learning Centre. I am usually very quiet in the background but working to my best ability around the centre. I was born in New Zealand and also attended RiverhIlls as a preschooler. During my school years I played netball and was part of a Young Mariners Group for many years. I am very happy to be given the opportunity to encourage and support children to reach their milestones and I look forward to my studies in my chosen career. We are a great team and I feel very proud and lucky to be part of such a cool group of teachers.
My name is Tanisha and I’m a new member of the Riverhills Early Learning Centre. I am a ‘Teacher in training’ so I will be working at least 3 days a week and also doing full time study. I have had some experience working for just over a year at my last early learning centre and also have two amazing young children of my own. My children keep me crazy busy so my hobbies are ‘whatever it is they are doing on that particular day’. J I am so excited to study and work with amazing friendly staff and can’t wait to meet the families (new and old) at Riverhills Early Learning centre.
My name is Ali Lavemai and I am very pleased to be a member of Riverhills Learning Centre. There is a long history of this special centre which has been the heart of many families learning journey in this small community which is so needed.
I began my journey of learning through my children of which I have 3 and when my youngest child started school, I knew I wanted to work alongside children. I had lots of conversations with EC teachers where my children attended and was encouraged to look into study and so I did. I enrolled with MIT and completed both certificate and Bachelor which was finally completed in 2014. MIT Has been an leading institute of learning for any career and highly recommend their programmes and professional tutors as they are passionate, caring and informative institute to be part of.
